In addition to carrying out ordinary and scheduled maintenance, Snow Service also offers the extraordinary maintenance service for snowplows, spreaders and all the range of equipment for summer and winter road maintenance, with relative supply of spare parts needed for repairs, both for private and public customers; public bodies such as: Anas compartments, Autostrade SPA, municipalities, provinces and mountain communities.
What is the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary maintenance services of plows, spreaders etc.?
Routine maintenance is a periodic testing of the components of a vehicle and is carried out to restore the maximum mechanical efficiency. It includes procedures such as washing, greasing, functional testing, engine inspection, check belt, chain and conveyor tensions, checks of all the security systems on the equipment, guarding against the corrosion of the spreader components.
The extraordinary maintenance procedures for snowplows, salt spreader etc. refer to non-periodic maintenance checks, being planned to reduce the risk of product obsolescence, thus counteracting the loss of value of the asset on the market.
In particular, our special maintenance service for snowplows, salt spreaders and all the range of winter equipment designed and manufactured by Snow Service offers the following services:
The longer and more difficult extraordinary maintenance procedures are carried out directly at our factory within the dedicated area for extraordinary maintenance. For those repair procedures that lie out of the normal routine maintenance service, we provide an on-site exhaustive check of the equipment and an estimate of costs of the maintenance works to be carried out.
We provide sandblasting and painting services for snowplows, salt spreaders, snow blowers, frames and tipper trucks. Sandblasting is a mechanical cleaning process useful in particular for preparing the product for the subsequent painting and application of wear resistant products. It is a surface finishing process that involves the use of a powered machine — typically an air compressor as well as a sandblasting machine — to spray abrasive particles under high pressure against a surface in order to remove old paintings, smog, signs of wear, grease or rust.
We also ensure compliance with the safety standards for the products without CE marking: CE marking indicates, since 1993, that a product has been assessed by the manufacturer and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. It is required for products manufactured anywhere in the world that are then marketed in the EU.
Finally, thanks to the possibility of having a well-stocked warehouse, we can provide the necessary spare parts.
All after sale assistance operations, routine maintenance and extraordinary maintenance of plows, salt spreaders etc.. are carried out in full compliance with the ISO 9001 standards, suggested by the manual "Procedures for service management", carried out by specialized and authorised personnel especially equipped.
